Top Dog

The real boss and star of the shop – a pure breed Labrador, born in June 2024, he’s Mark’s dog and you’ll often finding him roaming the shop or upstairs in the admin office.

Mark Hussey

Partner

Mark has had a passion for jewellery since he started designing and making his own pieces in 1987 and he still gets a great thrill and sense of real privilege when asked to help with wedding and engagement rings. After years of selling at fetes, markets and craft fairs, Mark opened Hallmark Jewellers in 1994 and has never looked back.
Mark has always enjoyed designing and manufacturing, often challenging the team with something new, including making the world’s most expensive Christmas Bauble!
Mark is involved in every aspect of the business but his real love is still designing bespoke jewellery with his clients.

Mark’s passion is having a business which delights our customers, and one in which our team feel they can flourish and challenges them to be the best they can be.

Andrea Colmer

Partner

Andrea started as a Saturday Sales Assistant position at Hallmark Jewellers in 1997. Within 3 years, Andrea was made a partner.

Andrea has projected the business forward with her ideas, along with choosing unique designers, which in turn has extended our ranges and increased sales.

So much so, we needed a bigger shop! So in 2007 we greatly extended the premises to accommodate the increase in sales. Andrea is incredibly proud to have watched the business flourish from a two man team into a team of twenty.

Rebecca

Repairs & Commissions Office Manager

Rebecca has a 2:1 degree in sport and recreation management and is a self taught hobby jeweller, she joined the team in 2021 to manage the behind the scenes element of the business, quoting on repairs and managing the smooth progression of the commissions. Rebecca liaises with our precious metal suppliers, diamond and coloured stones dealers.

Rebecca’s passion out of work: running, triathlon, strength training and the outdoors.

Louise

Repairs & Commissions Office Assistant

Louise joined Rebecca in the admin office in May 2022, and has become an integral cog in the admin office. Louise is responsible for coordinating our watch repairs, repairs quoting and the project management of commissions.

Louise’s passions outside of work: walking her three cavalier king charles spaniels, supporting her children’s sporting activities.

Christian

Jewellery Sales / Valuations

Christian has a 2:1 MA in Fine Art Valuation from Solent University and has worked in the Jewellery industry for over 20 years, his passion is antique jewellery and he is responsible for our inhouse jewellery valuations, buying for our high end diamond room and booking in our repair work. Christian has been with the Hallmark team for over a decade.

Christian’s passion out of work: country walks and collecting antiques.

Kirsten M

Jewellery Sales

Kirsten started working at Hallmark in 2004 as a full time Sales Assistant and very quickly achieved an A in Jet 1.

Kirsten has a creative role within the shop ensuring, merchandise is displayed attractively. In addition, Kirsten is responsible for, stock management, buying in new ranges and promoting our own Hallmark brands.

After joining Hallmark in 2006 as a Saturday Sales Assistant, Kirsten then went on to complete a two week work experience with us. Then joined us full time.

Since completing her Jet 1 course in 2010, Kirsten is now our Shop Floor Coordinator. Kirsten is responsible for brand customer orders and ensuring the shop floor is running efficiently. Kirsten is passionate about customer service and greeting our customers front of house with a smile, she absolutely adores our four legged friends.
